Cupcake Market

One of Instagram’s hottest trends is the Cupcake Market.  Home of celebrity portraits in cookie form.  The celebrities they had in stock were crying Kim K (pictured), Kanye West, Drake, and Jim Halpert.  Warning!  The cookies are $16 each!  I assume the reason is because each of the cookies are decorated by hand.  The inside of the…

Mecha Noodle Bar

Mecha Noodle Bar is the best place in New Haven, CT for ramen.  They also have great drinks that come in cool tiki-inspired glasses!  If you’re lucky you might get the tiki glass.  You will be impressed by the young crowd, great service, and crave-able taste. Taiyaki

Happy Easter!  Today is the last day to order the Easter themed cone at Taiyaki.  Taiyaki is a little ice cream shop located in China Town, NYC.  What makes this place special is that their cones are shaped like fish!  The wait was around 10 minutes but it goes by quickly.  Enjoy! Terrain

Today I went to Terrain.  Terrain is a big plant store/home goods store located in Westport, CT.  Plants are not all they have to offer though.  Inside is the beautiful Westport Garden Cafe that serves brunch until 3 every day!  Tip: make reservations because it gets very busy. My friend and I ordered french toast, eggs benedict, and vanilla…

Village Bagels

Today I went to Village Bagels in Westport, CT and ordered their Instagram famous rainbow bagel!  Village Bagels is a no-frill, no-stress restaurant.  I would suggest not toasting the bagel to get the most picture perfect shot.  Also, order the strawberry cream cheese. Crepes Choupette

One of my favorite places to go in New Haven is Crepes Choupette.  It is super busy in the mornings so I would recommend going around 2pm.  There are two types of crepes: sweet and savory.  My favorite sweet crepe is Amour et Jalousie (pictured) which is nutella, strawberry, and banana.  My favorite savory crepe…

The Crooked Knife

A perfect brunch place for Millennials! They have bottomless mimosas for only $40. Please be careful because mimosas can be very dangerous! Also, the wait staff is phenomenal (ask for George). I got the Eggs Benedict. Author: Rachael Elani Crooked Knife: Website Instagram Yelp

Financier Patisserie

If you are early for your Metro North train check out this little bakery.  The raspberry on top moved around a little on the train ride back but she’s still pretty!  I would also recommend getting the large, French Macarons. Author: Rachael Financier Patisserie: Website Yelp Instagram

Milkcraft

This cone is a little on the expensive side but its beauty makes it worth it. This is the Smores Cone. It has a perfect marshmallow ($1 extra) and crushed gram cracker on top.  The wait for this cone was about 15 minutes but I’m assuming as it gets warmer the wait will get longer….

Anthropologie and Acai

Organika is a healthy food kitchen located in Fairfield, CT. This “restaurant?” is small and very open to the outdoors. I would recommend going to Organika on a warm day.

Breakfast or Dessert?

All my favorite things in one picture. The macarons were stale (not going to lie) and the waffles needed syrup. But Maison Mathis is no enemy to Instagram!  When I visited Maison Mathis it was on Saturday morning.  There was little wait and a ton of places to sit. Author: Rachael Maison Mathis: Website Yelp…

Ladurée

If you get a chance to sit at Ladurée you should do it. Usually the people who are sitting are rich and cosmopolitan but don’t let that intimidate you.  Be yourself.  Also, don’t order whatever that pie thing that’s shown in the picture. It’s like a bad flan. I would recommend sticking to macarons, lattes and…
